UTILIZATION REVIEW
Utilization review can be defined as a review of medical necessity and appropriateness of medical treatment and services. Utilization
review is necessary as it assists the facility in identifying those clients who may or may not meet established criteria for participation in
treatment in the facility. Utilization review follows a set of established and clearly defined protocols. An effective Utilization program
serves to reduce incidents of medical review and denial of re-imbursements for services provided.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Quality Assurance employs a system of clearly defined processes to ensure the delivery of the highest standard of healthcare
possible. These processes contribute to designing.
Assessing, monitoring and improving the services delivered to each client. Quality Assurance is an integral part of any professional
infrastructure as its main function is to provide a medium in which there is a continuous measurement and evaluation of the services
provided.
