CORF’s are Medicare certified rehabilitation facilities that fall under the comprehensive outpatient services program of the Social Security Act. CORF’s were created to allow people in need of an intensive, multidisciplinary treatment program, but not requiring 24 hour care to attain these services outside of the hospital. In addition to being an increasingly necessary service, rehabilitation facilities can be a very lucrative business for their owners. |
